Bat houses installed at west park
Two bat houses have been installed at West River's Edge Park thanks to the Fort Saskatchewan Fish and Game Association.
The houses were put in place by City of Fort Saskatchewan staff on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
"Hopefully next spring they will attract some Little Brown Bats," says Gordon Blize, past president of the association.
The little brown bat or little brown myotis is an endangered species of mouse-eared microbat found in North America, he notes.
