The grand opening of our new disc golf course has been postponed to a later date.

The course, located in the West River's Edge park, was to open Wednesday, July 16.

"We’re still putting the final touches on the course and want to make sure everything is ready before we officially open it to the public," says Marc Britten, Marketing and Communications Officer for the City of Fort Saskatchewan.

 "A new date and time will be shared soon—we appreciate your patience and look forward to celebrating this exciting addition to West River’s Edge with you."

Disc golf uses frisbee-like discs instead of balls and raised baskets for each "hole." The new course has been built on a budget of $50,000.
