Another Fort Saskatchewan incumbent has announced he will run for re-election this fall.

Gordon Harris said last week that he intends to run again for City Councillor. Harris is a former senior manager with the City of Fort Saskatchewan, and was first elected to City Council in 2017.

Mayor Gale Katchur also announced this week that she intends to run for a City Councillor seat rather than for another term as Mayor.

Newcomer Jason Roach also filed his notice of intent to run last week. Roach is a safety manager. He has no local community service that we can find.

Four others have filed official notice of intent to run for office on Oct. 20. Incumbents Brian Kelly and Patrick Noyen are being challenged by Alan Wesley, chair of the Heartland Air Monitoring Partnership, and Rotary Club member Pierre Lautischer. Stuart McGowan has also stated that he intends to run, but has yet to file official notice.

Incumbent City Councillor Lisa Makin is still the only candidate to have filed her notice of intent to run for Mayor.
