Catch the grand opening of Fort Saskatchewam's new nine-hole disc golf course this week.

The course, located in the West River's Edge park, will be officially opened by the Mayor and other dignitaries on Wednesday, July 16 at 1:30 p.m.

Disc golf uses frisbee-like discs instead of balls and raised baskets for each "hole."

Built at a cost of $50,000, the course offers another recreational option for residents and visitors, says Mayor Gale Katchur. "We hope the course will encourage people of all ages to stay active and explore our beautiful river valley.”
