A new McDonald's restaurant is underway at Wilshire Boulevard on Fort Saskatchewan's south side.

Owner Stephen Lo and family were joined by Mayor Gale Katchur, several city council members and Chamber President Melissa Saretsky for a sod turning ceremony at the site Monday, July 7.

Construction actually started two weeks ago on the new restaurant, which is expected to open in November.
